The article presents a literature review on the use of <sup>18</sup>F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography combined with computed tomography in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma patients, and major trends of other radiopharmaceuticals usage in this nosology.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Бóльшая часть всех злокачественных новообразований головы и шеи представлена плоскоклеточным раком. Позитронная эмиссионная томография с <sup>18</sup>F-фтордезоксиглюкозой, совмещенная с компьютерной томографией, при плоскоклеточном раке головы и шеи применяется для первичного определения стадии заболевания, планирования лечения и оценки его эффективности, выявления прогрессирования.
