We provide a rationale for creating a long-term strategy of chemotherapy in different clinical situations. We also report two cases of concomitant administration of cetuximab and platinum-based therapy as an example of high efficacy of monoclonal antibodies.</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>В статье рассматриваются современные подходы к лекарственной терапии 1‑й линии нерезектабельного плоскоклеточного рака головы и шеи, а также описываются факторы, влияющие на выбор предпочтительного режима лечения и определенные на основе анализа результатов рандомизированных клинических исследований. Приводятся основания для выстраивания долгосрочной стратегии лекарственной терапии в различных клинических ситуациях. В качестве примера высокой эффективности моноклональных антител описываются 2 клинических наблюдения применения цетуксимаба в сочетании с платиносодержащей химиотерапией.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>head and neck tumors</kwd><kwd>chemotherapy</kwd><kwd>monoclonal antibodies</kwd><kwd>cetuximab</kwd><kwd>immunotherapy</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>опухоли головы и шеи</kwd><kwd>химиотерапия</kwd><kwd>моноклональные антитела</kwd><kwd>цетуксимаб</kwd><kwd>иммунотерапия</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group/></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Patterson R.H., Fischman V.G., Wasserman I. et al.
